Atlanta Snake Guy

This webpage is a an extension of a personal project I began a couple of years ago to help my neighbors to have a resource for factual info and assistance when they come into contact with snakes - or if they just want to learn more about them.  Whether you need help identifying the scary, scaly critter in your yard - or need to have a venomous snake captured and relocated to a safer place - I can help!

HELP!  I found a snake!

Is it dangerous?  How can I get rid of it?

NEW PHONE NUMBER!  If you live within 30 minutes of Buford, GA, you can contact me at 470-588-1168 by voice or text.  This map shows a list of volunteers across the country who can help you identify the snake you found, determine whether it poses a risk to your children or pets, and who may be able to come to your location (within reason) and capture the snake and relocate it FREE of charge. (NO KILL - I do not kill snakes, I will find a new place where the snake can be released safely - for you and your visitor.)

Please remember to keep a safe distance from any snake you can't positively identify as being harmless and non-venomous. Attempting to kill or capture a snake puts you at high risk of being bitten!   Even a venomous snake is harmless to people if left alone.

A good way to get a snake to leave your yard is a gentle squirt from a hose to encourage them to move along.  I am happy to help you identify the snake if you can (SAFELY) get a clear picture and send it to my number.  If it's venomous, or just needs to be relocated, I can help.  If it's harmless and non-venomous I'll let you know and give you some options on what you can do next.

NOTE:  Providing a free service to my neighbors isn't my source of income, so please be patient.  I have a full-time job, a family and other commitments.  So I may not always be immediately available to travel to your location to catch a snake for you.  But let me know If you need help, or feel free to look on this map for someone else in your area who might be available to assist if you can't reach me or if I am unavailable or too far away.
